Probably the worst ran VA hospital I've ever been to! Have waited over 5 hrs in the emergency room to see a doctor n come to find out they say they only have one doctor workin in the ER!
Yeah yeah, it's not Baylor. But the cardiology and audiology doctors and nurses, on separate occassions, treated my dad with sweetness, professionalism and care. I was impressed.
The wait is expected since so many Vets around Texas come here. Be prepared when you come. Can't complain to much about free!!!

SO much better than Parkland all around. Yes, the staff does need training on how to talk to people as humans and not just a number, then Veterans might not get so pissy with them.
Best and most rewarding place to work. My VETS are awesome. GOD bless them all.
Be prepared for bad parking. Free valet though for disabled vets. Great cafeteria in the basement.
The staff and volunteers at the VA hospital are the kindest, most professional govt employees I have ever encountered. Thank you.
Even if you come in early, be prepared because you are staying till dinner if oi need blood drawn....
Hey guys, it's not so bad.The staff could use some PR instructions,but consider the amount of unhappy people they see per day. After a 20 minute wait;check them out

I have to agree with a lot if the tips in here. They are out to kill the vets so they don't have to pay their retirement.

I arrived here this summer and I honestly have not had one problem or complaint. Lines are long most of the time at the pharmacy and travel pay, but they are light years ahead of any VA in Louisiana
Try the cafeteria in the basement.
They suck. The workers are rude and are no help!!!!
I cannot understand why the whole entire hallway on the first floor from the elevator all the way back to the lab smells like runny s**t. I makes no sense.
In my experience, they have provided excellent medical care.
If you come in healthy, you will leave feeling sick. This place is so unorganized and always understaffed.
The cardiology dept has some of the best doctors in the world. The cath lab staff us the best.
