This new bridge is awesome! Visit it via orange line or streetcar. The yellow line actually turns into the orange line (for those in N. PDX).
Handrails worked as advertised. Will walk over it again. A++
Named for the local Chinook tribe’s word for “people,” the Tilikum is the only bridge in Portland not open to private motor vehicles.
Portland really practices what they preach – a human-scaled bridge carrying people on foot, bike, and several forms of transit.
One of the best views for the sunset in Portland. Go.
Easy walk! Crossing the bridge, it takes around 15mins (walking distance). It has lane for pedestrian, bikers and public transportation.
Watch the bridge's colors any time via All Classical Portlansd's Tilicam.
It's really not that far. Take the walk!
From a bikers perspective, it's great. Though you would need to look out for people walking in the bike lane!!
Bicycle and foot bridge with great views.
What a beautiful addition to my beloved City of Roses. I may only be a visitor these days but you will always be home to me.
Method of crossing a river.
Looks great from afar and looks radiant up close. Biking it is a bit of a chore, but worth it, especially if you pause at the top to savor the sights
