One of the most underrated state parks in the Bay Area! 18 miles of hiking in beautiful redwoods.
If you want to avoid the camping crowds, hike 3.5 miles to the trail camp and stay for a few days. Definitely worth it.
Bookmark this canopied redwood hike if you think you might be in the area. There's a great waterfall and the remains of a historic cabin
Most of the way to Peter's Creek is pretty unremarkable. The loop around the creek itself though is fantastic
Watch out for the banana slugs
All the hiking trails are closed
No crazy crowds of people on the trails.
be sure to come visit this out of the way gem. lovely towering redwoods & fun camping for all!
Beautiful park. Get some snacks to go for long hike and dress up to cross the water streams.
